Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation’s Anniversary Celebration: Spreading Awareness towards Breast Cancer

In India, the breast cancer is among the most common cancer disease prevailing even in the young women. During the last decade, the no of breast cancer patients have significantly increased from 20 to 25 per cent.

The Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation’s Health Initiatives are community based interventions implemented in collaboration with community partners who ensure access to culturally appropriate outreach and education, screening resources, and follow-up care. The mission of the foundation is to spread awareness and knowledge about the disease and to transform it from being a taboo to a commonly discussed issue spreading the message of hope, courage and survival. The foundation  uses many methods to create awareness about the disease among the masses like a well researched and handy booklet which provides detailed information about the cancer in a very interactive and creative way. It has covered all aspects of the disease from diagnosis to treatment and recovery.

Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation and G L Mandhani Trust together held the anniversary celebration for Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation to make another strong move to cover the untouched aspects of the disease. With great helping hands, the whole Mandhani Family along with Mr. Bijay Kumar Mandhani contributed to the foundation to celebrate this mission. The celebration was aimed  to attract  national and international attention and garner  funds though a fundraising program to help the women suffering from this disease and support their rehabilitation and treatment.
